1. Register as a user

  • Go to postpolish.com and click “register.”

  • Fill out all the required information and confirm your email (don’t forget to check your spam box)

  • Click the “verify email” button or copy and paste the provided link into a new tab

  • Choose a plan and set up payment to access your dashboard

  • Not sure which plan to choose? Consider how often you plan to schedule new flips and how many websites you want this tool for.

Congratulations! You should now be able to access your dashboard.

2. Verify Your Domain:

You will need to add and verify a domain.

  • Create a unique CNAME for this, such as share.wealthofgeeks.com or link.newinterestingfacts.com (choose the first part, then your website’s domain).

  • This unique link will need DNS records added to it.

  • Go to Cloudflare.com (or wherever you host your website’s cpanel, DNS records, etc.) and log in

  • Choose the website you need to add a new DNS record for

  • Go to DNS and Records

  • Click “Add Record” near the bottom right of the screen to add all the necessary info

  • Add all relevant info to finish set up and hit “Save”

  • Your information should look very similar to that listed on the screenshot below (you may have chosen a different root work other than “link”)

  • Make sure to add “in.rdrct.it” to the target as instructed on Post Polish

  • Toggle the Proxy Status to “off”

  • Once saved, you should now be able to back to your Post-Polish profile and click “verify DNS record.” It can take a few minutes to update. If you get an error, double-check that all of your information is input correctly.

3. Add an RSS Feed

Whether you plan to send your flips to a magazine via an RSS feed or publish them manually, you must set up at least one RSS feed (how many you can set up depends on the plan you purchased).

Setting up the RSS feed has been a confusing step for setup for most; here are some clarifying points to consider:

  • Setting up this RSS feed will give you a link that you can insert into one of your magazines (if you are a Publisher, you can do so). You can either create a new magazine and add this RSS feed individually. Otherwise, you can combine it with your website’s RSS (either the entire site or a category). You can only combine two feeds at a time. If you want multiple RSS feeds (and combinations), you will need to create separate feeds.

  • If you are not a Publisher (and do not have access to adding RSS feeds in your magazines), you still need to complete this step to generate flips manually. Since your newly generated RSS feed will not be input anywhere, the details you input are not super important since they’re for internal use only.

  • Without the RSS feed anywhere, you will need to manually flip the link into your profile.

The steps:

  • Go to RSS Feeds on the left sidebar and click “Create RSS Feed”

  • Input all relevant info to help you identify your RSS feed when creating a new flip (especially important if you are making more than one)

  • Data includes an Image, Name, Title, Domain, and Description. All fields except for the RSS merge field at the bottom must be filled for it to generate.

  • If you are a Publisher and plan to add this RSS feed to a magazine already populated with an RSS feed from your website, you can now combine them into one feed using Post Polish’s combiner feature. Since Flipboard only allows one RSS feed link per magazine, this allows you to feed more than one of them into one spot with a singular link. (It’s up to you whether you want to combine RSS feeds or keep magazines separate.) Simply input your desired RSS feed url from your site (i.e. website.com/feed) and copy/paste it into the designated field. You cannot merge more than one feed at a time.

  • Click “Create RSS Feed” when complete.

  • Copy and paste the RSS feed link to add to Flipboard

  • Input the RSS feed link into your chosen Flipboard magazine

  • Go to your Flipboard profile and click “Create a New Magazine” or the pencil symbol (bottom right corner) to edit an existing magazine and add your RSS feed link.

  • If you’re creating a magazine, make sure you keep it public (do not click private).

  • Click at the bottom of our Magazine where it says “Add RSS Feed” or “Edit RSS Feed”

  • Paste your link into the designated box and verify that you own this domain.

  • Click add. Your magazine is not ready for new flips from Post Polish.

  • If you are not a publisher, you can copy and paste the flip link and manually add it to your profile when you’re ready.

4. Create New Flips

You are now set up to start creating flips for publishing immediately or to schedule in advance.

  • Go to “Import”

  • Choose the article you want to repurpose and grab the link to paste

  • Paste it into the link box and click the arrow to start generating

  • Adjust any and all data to make it fresh

  • You can change the title, description, and image

  • Note: You must choose an RSS feed to continue.

  • To schedule immediately, keep the “Schedule for later” toggle off and click generate. This will push it immediately to your RSS feed and any magazine you have it set up with.

  • You can also copy the short link and paste it where you’d like in Flipboard.

  • If you would like to schedule your post, toggle the schedule button to on.

  • Choose the time you’d like your flip published.

  • Click “Generate Link” to schedule.

  • Keep in mind that while the flip will publish to your RSS feed at the designated time, the time it takes to appear on Flipboard can vary significantly due to Flipboard’s own algorithm/tech. Unfortunately, Post Polish has no control over this specific aspect of scheduling and visibility.

  • Note: Your flips need to be at least 5 minutes apart to be published or scheduled. It will not let you publish them closer together than that.

  • To double-check or review your scheduled and published flips, look in your “Links” tab.

  • You can also open your feed or copy short links here.
